LUBRICATION

Regular lubrication and the selection of the right lubricant are prerequisites for a long service life and smooth running of the chains. The selection of the lubricant and the planning of the lubrication intervals are two of the most important tasks in the maintenance of chains, because this is the only way to ensure smooth production processes, reduce downtimes and lower production costs.

Due to the different areas of application, almost every chain needs a special lubricant, because unsuitable lubricants can lead to production problems. We offer a variety of lubricants that are suitable for different areas of application (e.g. highly heat-resistant) and would be happy to advise you on your selection.

Since we do not know the special production conditions in your company, we can only give general and non-binding recommendations. The user of our chains is therefore solely responsible for selecting the right lubricant, the lubrication method and the intervals between lubrication.

INSTALLATION

Replacing chains is an activity that usually generates a lot of dirt. Therefore, this work is usually not very appreciated by technicians. However, the correct installation of chains is of great importance for the service life of a chain - and for the efficiency of a system. For this reason, the exchange should only be carried out by well-trained specialists.

If chains are to be replaced, the sprockets should also be checked for wear. A new chain runs less smoothly on worn sprockets than the old chain. If the sprockets are already showing a lot of wear, the new chain will quickly be destroyed or wear out excessively.

Before removing an old chain from a plant, it should be checked that the correct chain has been ordered and delivered and that there is a sufficient quantity.

When installing a new chain, remember that chains should be installed with as little twisting or force as possible. New chains should be unrolled so that they are in the plane of installation. Dirt and twisting of the chains through contact with the floor must be avoided.

The correct position and smooth running of the sprockets are essential for the correct functioning of the chains and the achievement of a long service life.

It must be checked whether all sprockets are mounted on one level or whether the wheels are aligned. If this is not the case, the position of the sprockets must be adjusted.

We recommend that new chains are run slowly after installation, observing the chain closely and checking each sprocket to ensure that the chain runs correctly over the sprockets.
